Finally, the earliest delivery I made for Pan Am flight 812 was a flight from Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport to Los Angeles with layovers at Bali Airport (Indonesia), then in Australia (Sydney), Nadi (Fiji), and Honolulu, USA. The last stop was Los Angeles International Airport (final destination). The flight was normal from Hong Kong, then at night Pan Am flight 812 established contact with Bali Airport. Everything was normal until a failing heading indicator oscillated. The approach controller told them to maintain their authorization and said to report when they saw the runway. The crew repeated the message, but then Pan Am flight 812 lost its way at Bali Airport, heading directly toward a mountain called Mount Mesehe. The last from the CVR of Pan Am 812 was "Clipper 812, what is your visibility now?" and "Clipper 812, Bali Tower, how do you read?" However, the ATC never responded (since when they listened to the transcript of the air traffic controller that message was not received)
to their request and ended up crashing into Mount Mesehe, killing all 107 people.
