The 2nd tank in my series. Story: In 1929 the USA needed a heavy tank due to development focused on light tanks. SuperSix answered with a blueprint of a heavy tank nicknamed “The Punisher”. The US agreed to the amount that 500 would be made and in early 1931 they started production of the first prototype. By 1933 the first prototype was made and was tested at the aberdeen proving grounds. It was approved and sent into production and by 1934 the first one was made. WW2: It saw minimal use in 1942 and by 1943 was put out of service. Armor: Hull 60mm frontal and 10mm front plate 40 mm side 25mm back with slope. Turret 70mm frontal 50mm side 20mm back with ammo rack. Armament: One SS10 54mm main gun, one outside 50 caliber browning, inside coaxial 30 caliber browning. Crew capacity: 8 Commander on left frontal and mid lookout and driver on right frontal and mid. Machine gunner on 30 claiber. Shooter and loader in turret and two back lookouts. Last but not least radio operator in the back. Advantages: Heavy armor, gun, and suspension. Disadvantages: Slow (10mph) bad control and small track area.
