Yes this is a real airplane , however throughout its exeistence since like 1937 it has gone through a lot of changes . This is known as a tandem wing and also uses changing the angle of attack of the leading wing as an elavator. It had a problem killing people when it was first designed becasue of a stall charactristic from the front wing stalling and changing the center of pressure to the back of the plane, causing nose dives usualy when landing . Its a little hard to take off but when its in the air its better , this does not look like the originol but more resembles the modern improved design with different wing tips also , and it has antenna .
