this ship belongs to the Flower class corvettes.

In the late 1930's, the Royal Navy's escort force was too weak in the face of Germany's resurgent submarine force, so the Ministry of Navy decided to build an anti submarine escort ship capable of mass production and rapid production. They are based on a "Southern pride" whaling ship built before the war, so they are simple in structure and low in cost, suitable for small and medium-sized shipyards all over Britain. More than 130 "flower" class drive submarines have been built successively. On the Atlantic battlefield, most of the "flower" level is used for escort, which is the main anti submarine force of the Allied forces. It was the "flower" class and other anti submarine ships that fought hard with the wolves of Nazi submarines, helping the allies to pass the darkest period of the Atlantic war.

After the war, some of the remaining "flower"s came to far away China and spent the rest of their lives.

In the early 1950s, the people's Navy purchased 21 or 3 frigates from Hong Kong that had become merchant ships. The class "flower" frigates were equipped with Soviet weapons in Shanghai
