A specialized one of one unit, originally found parked outside during a successful drug bust on a notorious gang. Since the Corvette belonged to one of the members, the LBPD had one of two choices. To impound it, or to convert it into a police cruiser. As you should know already, the LBPD chose option two. They searched the car first, to check if there were still any “remains of what the previous owner might’ve had,” and later retrofitted the vehicle with all the essential parts of a cruiser. It was assigned the patrol number “9230,” and entered service on the Highway Patrol District 5 in late 2015. This specialized unit is still used today for the same purpose it served when it was first introduced, and is used as a symbol of determination in which the LBPD will go in order to hold “the accused” accountable, and serves as a reminder to “the accused” on how any personal items or belongings will not be spared.
The Chevrolet Corvette C7 is a specialized Highway Patrol unit utilized by the LBPD.
