The Mk 4 Neygi combat trainer had been very well received by the Sundria Air Force. The pilots liked it for its ease of flight and balanced handling, while the upper echelons appreciated the well-tested, rugged and reliable design. Because of this, GeekPride Fabrications were asked to develop a fighter based on the Neygi base. A more powerful engine, combined with a larger and more efficient propeller, was fitted into the nose, though this did mean having to move the cockpit further back to accommodate it. The rest of the fuselage and tail section were largely unchanged, simplifying construction. On the other hand, the wings required a complete redesign. The landing gear nacelles were removed in favour of landing gear that could retract into the wing. The wing root was changed to have a greater degree of anhedral to give more clearance for the propeller and the whole wing was designed with more sweep and taper. The control surfaces on the wings were also increased in size, allowing for a much faster roll rate. The end result of this was regarded as an excellent fighter. It was fast and agile, with an impressive rate of climb, all of which helped it in dog fights. And because of the powerful engine and efficient wings, it had little trouble climbing to high altitude to intercept bombers.
