The M/V taverner is named after the captain of the ss caribou,Benjamin taverner who went down with his ship after it was torpedoed .The M/V taverner is a coastal ship used to transport people and cargo to small Newfoundland outports ,such as my home town Ramea. These beautiful ships are no longer running .
