'In the distance, weapons can be heard. Combat, where sides oppose one another. The phantom silently observes the war waged by humanity. The soldiers on the field, oblivious to their surroundings, hear a blood-curdling howl. After the phantom's passing, nothing was left. No smoke. No ash. The only thing to signal the phantom's presence at the battle, was a lasting, lonely howl.'

Controls -
AG 1 -- Activate Howl's Auxiliary engine (Designed for high Mach speeds, best utilized at altitudes higher than 25,000 feet)

AG 2 -- Activate Howl's 'Ion' railgun (Single fire weapon that can almost destroy everything in a single shot)

AG 3 -- Open parachutes

AG 6 -- Activate Howl's Burst system (One time use, for emergencies)

AG 7 + VTOL UP -- Activate thrust reversers

AG 8 -- Deactivate all weapons (excluding 'Ion') and lights

The XDF [P] - 1402, nicknamed 'Howl', is an experimental multirole jet aircraft. The second member of the Phantom family, a subdivision of my fictional aircraft, Howl succeeds Whisper in terms of stability and maneuverability. Instead of four small "fairy" stabilizers at the rear of the craft, Howl is installed with two large vertical stabilizers, each attached to a boom on each wing, helping with the stability immensely. Howl has updated performance in speed and weaponry. Speed is increased significantly, at the slight cost of maneuverability. Weapons have also been updated. Guns fire red tracers, missiles have instant locking abilities, along with a short firing delay. Howl's Special Weapon has been replaced with the Compact Electromagnetic Railgun prototype, named 'Ion'. Ion can devastate almost any craft with a single bolt, but requires precise aiming to fire. It's recommended to use trim to counter Howl's nose dipping. Braking system is less complex now. Howl is also equipped with countermeasures, and reversers for easier operating. Howl has the Burst system installed, allowing emergency takeoff sequences. Also using remnants of a third engine from Whisper's earlier builds, Howl is equipped with an engine specialized for hypersonic transport, although it is proven to be highly unstable at altitudes lower than 20,000 feet (6,096 meters). It is best used at an altitude higher than 25,000 feet (7620 meters).
