This is the production version of my Experimental Jet Seaplane, updated with new features and capabilities while preserving the stable and friendly flight characteristics of the original.

The Albatross Mark II is fully amphibious, able to land and take off from any runway while retaining its original flying boat hull for marine operations. The automatic wingtip pontoons will deploy while taxiing on the water, and will stow themselves at speeds over 50 knots or while operating on land.

Please note that while landing gear will be automatically stowed while on the water, they will deploy on takeoff unless manually set to the "stowed" or "up" position.

The Albatross Mark II is fun and forgiving to fly, with a extended flight envelope and gentle handling characteristics. With clean wings at 80% throttle the Albatross will cruise level at 175 knots. For short landing approaches, or any operations that require low airspeed, fully extend the flaps (VTOL down) and set throttle to 10% for stable flight at 60 knots. And of course at 100% throttle the Mark II is fully aerobatic.

The Mark II retains the fully equipped and functional cockpit of the original, with the critical addition of a small aft cabin with passenger seat, accessed through a door on the starboard side of the fuselage.
