McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet V3.2
For SimplePlanes
Despite losing to the YF-16 in the Lightweight Fighter (LWF) Program in the late 1960’s, the YF-17 would be selected by the Navy to be developed into its premiere multirole fighter, the F/A-18 Hornet. Intended as a lower-cost alternative to the F-14, the F/A-18 is more reliable and requires less maintenance. Thanks to its large control surfaces, prominent leading edge root extensions, and advanced fly-by-wire system, the F/A-18 possesses high AOA capability and low speed maneuverability. The F/A-18C incorporates improved avionics, including the ability to carry the AIM-120 AMRAAM. Since the introduction of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, the F/A-18C/D and older models have been nicknamed "Legacy" Hornets.
The F/A-18C was operated by the US Navy and continues to be operated by select units of the US Marine Corps, but is being phased out in favor of the F/A-18E/F and F-35B/C; in Australian service, the F/A-18C has also been replaced by the F-35A. Switzerland, Canada, Spain, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Finland continue to operate F/A-18C’s. Read more…

@ReinMcDeer will there be an E/A-18G
@StopBreathingMyAir yes, low vis livery
@Th3Missil3 Oof yeah, looks like it. My blueprints had them convex. It looks like I gotta remove the ECM pods under the intakes as well.
@ReinMcDeer Might be nit picking but I think the engine intakes should look a little bit concaved like this
boi
can you try my f-18?, pliz
@SuperSuperTheSylph yea
@StopBreathingMyAir yes
that is a med-vis camo,you can make it hi-vis or low-vis(idk if there is one) if you like :))
Is the red on the vertical stabilizers supposed to be the vmfa-232 thing or no?
@MonsNotTheMonster i guess so :))
@SuperSuperTheSylph I did some reverse engineering on his STOL-MTD F-15 for dot's J-10, which I turned into J-10C and NWA's old J-15 into J-15T. It already works fine. So I guess it'll be just a walk in the park for him to make a delta winged jet with canards
@TheCommentaryGuy lol
someone must have be holding RD at gunpoint cuz suddenly he adds folding wings to a naval fighter
@MonsNotTheMonster would be nice! also Gripen or Typhoon FGR4 remaster when?
i wanna see how he tackles the Eurocanards
but we might wait for a little while because of him having grad school
Another freaking banger
Since you did the STOL F-15, perhaps a HARV FA-18?
Let the speculate begin! Next plane Will be an A-10
@ReinMcDeer understandable,it would be too easy to offensively crank in BVR,and 90 degrees lock angle would be a bit too OP, and kinda weird when you get close
tyyy :))
@TheCommentaryGuy Also fixed!
@SuperSuperTheSylph Yep, just fixed it. I think at one point I was going to change all the SARH/ARH missiles to the FOV of the radar, but I ended up not going through with it. So the subassembly had it set to that
It also looks like I gotta fix the Tomcats with the same issue
also idk,aren't AIM-7s supposed to have 60 degree lock angle?
they actually have a lock angle of 90 degrees in here
unless it is something you forgot to update within your WBD?
@POMeliaAircraft oh okk,so you are living near there?
@SuperSuperTheSylph At San Diego Brown Field Municipal Airport.
your launch bar is in the wrong place. this is the correct position
horuned
How to be as good as this guy 🤔
