the F-19 was a joint group project between avistia Aeronautics and Sukhoi in 1989 to develop a new 4th generation domestic fighter for avistia's aging air force. it features a 23mm rotary cannon, 6 fire and forget active radar missiles, P/R thrust vectoring and an SU-27's radar. the project was approved in 1990 and only 40 aircraft were produced before the collapse of the Soviet Union due to avistia's lacking production speed from '60s era factories and equipment. they are still in service but are due to be replaced by 2035 as plans for 5th Gen fighters are awaiting testing and approval
