SkyCorps F-15VC Eagle (introduced January 17, 1987)
Weapons Load-out: Air Superiority
CONTEXT:
This is the first of two Eagles I made to replace my already existing F-15VE (please refer to this post). Unlike my previous my F-15VE, this one has been shortened and is meant to decently look like the actual F-15. It will keep most of its features as canon though. This aircraft features visually appealing afterburners though I kept the activation guide the same (AG-3/VTOL Up). Please note that this is exclusively only a feature for the real-life aircraft and not the natively-built Veridisian ones.
Introduction:
The SkyCorps F-15V Eagle is a Veridisian-license built variant of the American F-15 Eagle, produced by SkyCorps intended solely for the Veridisian Air Force.
Following the F-15's introduction in the United States Air Force in 1976, many high-ranking officials within the VAF proposed to introduce the fighter. The following year, Aerodyne Corporation (now SkyCorps) signed a contract with McDonnell Douglas, which allows Aerodyne to manufacture their aircraft as license-built variants.
VAF operation for the F-15 was approved by the government in 1979, and by 1980, the F-15V made its first flight in October of that year. The F-15V entered service in November 1982.
It first sought combat in the Banondan Civil War (1975 – 1993), providing air cover for ground troops. The F-15V was used during the Gulf War and Tiucana Islands War (1992 – 1995), claiming 48 air-to-air victories. Today, the fighter remains as an essential component of the Veridisian Air Force's fleet of foreign 4th-generation fighters like the F-16 and the Su-27.
