The C-1 Lynx Main Battle Tank (MBT) was an early WW3 all Canadian tank design as the Royal Canadian Army found that enemy forces were easily destroying their shipments of Leapord II tanks from Germany before they even got to Canada. The Canadian Department of National Defence realized that they could no longer rely on the supply lines they once had to get the all important MBTs needed for the conflict. The result was the Lynx, home grown and just as effective if not more than the Leopard II.
