The I.Ae. 27 Pulqui I was a jet aircraft designed and built between 1946-1947 by Émile Dewoitine, Cardeilhac E., N.L. Morchio and H.J. Ricciardi. It was the 1st jet aircraft designed and produced in South America and the 9th in the world. It was powered by a single Rolls-Royce Derwent V and the first flights showed it was underpowered and slower than the expected 800 km/h, only reaching around 730-750 km/h. In 1948 the proyect was replaced by another design; the I.Ae. 33 Pulqui II.
