Dornier Do-335

57.5k bjac0  10.2 years ago

Sorry i rushed this out, i just needed to clear my mind for a sec and cool down, this thing is harder to build than i thought it would be, anyways, please enjoy. The Dornier Do-335 Pfeil ("Arrow") was a World War II heavy fighter built by the Dornier company. The two-seater trainer version was also called Ameisenbär ("anteater"). The Pfeil's performance was much better than other twin engine designs due to its unique "push-pull" layout and the much lower aerodynamic drag of the inline alignment of the two engines. The Luftwaffe was desperate to get the design in operational use, but delays in engine deliveries meant only a handful were delivered before the war ended.

I like it. I am a fan of the minimalist style replicas. They kinda remind me of those rudimentary wooden-block models in hobby shops. You should start a series of replicas in this style. P.S. sorry I haven't been responding to you lately; I've been crazy busy with life and my current build. But keep it up!

I'd like to see you build this out of wing panels. It's a challenge, but I'm sure you can do it.
