An immediately-post WWII design, the XC-32 was the largest transport of the post-war era. Well known for its eight engnes, six radial and four jet ("six turning, four burning"), it sufferred from severe reliability issues. This led to the comic phrase "two turning, two burning, two choking, and two more unaccounted for". It was rather fast for its time, and was capable of extremely long ranges.
