This is my first plane! The Grumman FF-1 was Grummans first of many Navy aircraft. This was also the Navys first aircraft to have retractable landing gear and fully enclosed cockpit. It could be equipped with a 2 foward firing machine guns and a rotating back machine gun. It begin its service in 1933 as they made 2 types a fighter and an observer (this one). By 1936 they decommissioned the beloved planes from carrier duty as the new F6F took to the skys. This aircraft is based off of the FF-1 in the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Fl. It is 1/58 of its model and has a cool nickname “Fifi”. This is my first aircraft and it barely flys so please if anyone could tell me how to make it more stable that would be greatly appreciated. The controls for the gears are AG1 and then VTOL all the way down.
