K-16 is a Main Battle Tank Designed by Thailand In 1992,After The Fall of Soviet Union.Thailand in communism States still continuing Designing Tank Specially Main Battle Tank,The Results Was K-16 by KK Industry,The Government Wanted the Tanks To be Mobility but K-16 doesn't have,K-16 Have the much Fire power matched the Government requirement for a Tank same as WW2 that the tank need to be powerful and mobility.

History

1992,After 1 year of fall of Soviet Union.
Thailand in Communism States are actually Focusing on Society,but it doesn't mean that they doesn't focused about Military,They do it in a Same time.The Government wanted a Tank that will replace K-11 MBT that are not Very effective now,11 Tank Design has been assigned to be voting in 19 may.The results was K-16,SI-192,PH-11-F passed,The Industry need to make a Prototype to proof that Thier tank can perform the best.it took aroud 8 month to product the Prototype, Firstly the K-16 doesn't pass the Mobility test,but K-16 passed firepower test,Other one are SI-192 the Main Battle Tank that based on the SI-88 Chassis,It has a Great mobility,Great firepower,but it was bad at Off-road performance.PH-11-F are matched the Government requirement,but they actually see if the PH-11-F is too high or it will be hitted easily.the K-16 and SI-192 was entered mass production by,K-16 for Marine and navy,SI-192 for Army and Motorized forces.
