Supermarine-Grumman Thunderstorm Mk1

612 BearForce  6.8 years ago

In collaboration between British manufacturer Supermarine and American manufacturer Grumman, this heavy fighter came to be. Designed in late 1944. Because of high manufacturing costs it wasn't very effective in the war. It has served in later wars and peace missions. It was beloved by their allies, and feared by their enemies.. It's pretty stable so it was easy to fly, but hard to master, as the view is limited by the double counter-rotating propeller, which is very close to the cockpit. It's equipped with flaps and 3 Browning 50 mm HE cannons.

To take-off: Flaps down 1 notch, throttle to 40%, when above 300 feet gear up, flaps neutral and throttle to 100%.
Landing: Reduce throttle, go down to 200 feet and full flaps, gear down, go easy on the brakes as the plane may tip over.
Carrier take-off: Full flaps, throttle to 100%, it will be hard.
Carrier landing: I wouldn't try that if I were you.

I tried keeping the parts down, so it's not very detailed.
