Ah, the T-78F BlueHawk. An aspiring fighter pilots first military aircraft. The T-78F Bluehawk is used as the first trainer aircraft many Ospretanian Air Force pilots will ever fly. For some, it is a beast impossible to master. To others, it is the pinnacle of military aviation. Powered by a single PATEN-7650-7 V-12 Reciprocating engine, capable of powering the T-78F upwards of 340 knots in level flight, the T-78F can out turn and out run the majority of commercial and civil aviation aircraft in the skies today. Because of the T-78F’s versatile performance, it is also used as a TI - Trainer Interceptor. TA - Trainer Attack. TB - Trainer Bomber. And TF, its main role, a Trainer Fighter. Graduates of the T-78F BlueHawk will move onto the T-47 Skylark or the T-51 depending on the Ospretanian Air Forces needs. The T-78F BlueBawk is based on earlier aircraft of the time, specifically warbirds such as the F-77A because of their unique handling characteristics and requirements.
