Dassault Mirage - IIIEA (Simple)

1,500 Franch0o1  one year ago

Hello! =D This is my first fully worked plane ever on simpleplanes, i really worked very hard on this mirage (5 days) i hope that all you enjoy this plane

sorry for the bad maneuverability, i fix that later

Some history:
The Mirage III Was an Interceptor Designed by Marcel Dassault to Intercept and shoot down Soviet Bombers in the early 60s, this is an Mirage IIIEA (A For Argentina), This planes were sent by france in the 70s (1972) and the FAA (Argentine Air Force) Operated with this bird until 2015, this Plane fight with the Sea Harriers during South Atlantic War in 1982.
This camouflage type Simil was used by the first mirages in argentina in the 70s

Features:

-Fully Worked Cockpit

-Fully Functional Radar

-Fully Working Custom Missiles (can be used without problem in dogfight mode)

-Extra Missiles (one with an cart) : R-530 IR, R-550 Dummy/Training (very funny to use btw)

Credits to @RicardoAce to let me use things of the cockpit of his Mirage IIICJ (and some landing gear parts)

Armament:

X2 R.550 Matra Magic AAM

X1 R.530 SARH Missile

If you want put the extra missiles on the mirage: only remove the missiles on the plane and put the other missile you want, For the R.550 Dummy delete the connections of his fuselage with the cart

Enjoy it!!

Later I plan to upload a series of mirages ;) With their respective characteristics and weapons: Mirage IIIC (France),Mirage IIICJ (Israel), Mirage IIIO (Australia), IAI Dagger (FAA)

@Mustang51 Yeah, And you didn't see the initial model, that was a 10-ton brick with wings, I tried everything but couldn't, maybe later I'm going to release a more "flyable" version (but realistic), the only solution I found was to put small stabilizers hidden on it By the way, do you know how I could make it more maneuverable? And do you also know how the Mirage flew in real life? I heard that I could do cobras

It looks very good and I can see lots of effort went into it but it kinda flies like a brick. An extremely fast brick. It’s good you didn’t make the plane far too manoeuvrable like most people do but you definitely made it underperform. You can hardly pull any AoA so turning and climbing is very difficult, at both low and high speeds. Also this thing accelerates insanely fast. It’s better to lower the drag points of an aircraft to het a higher max speed than increase the engine power. Engine power will mainly just increase acceleration, fewer drag points will increase max speed. If you have a realistic engine in terms of power and you lower your drag points, you’ll have both a realistic max speed and a realistic acceleration rate. Hope this helps and looking forward to seeing your future builds!

@Franch0o1 the mirage has very good instantaneous manoeuvrability but bleeds off energy very fast and is not great at low speed handling. At least the old ones. However, it had decent acceleration

@Franch0o1 depends on the model of the mirage I think but if you make an unlisted post with this plane and tag me in it, I’d be happy to help you make it better :)

I can tell you worked pretty hard on this and you did a lot of research or you know a lot about aircraft because of the armament on this thing. I would suggest posting around 3pm eastern time if you want the upvotes that this creation deserves. Also check out my profile if you'd like, I post alot and I make modded stuff!
