Moskva Wolf – 3000 “Savregrevoy”

Heavily Armoured Cruiser Tank (Experimental)
German Democratic Republic (GDR), Early–Mid 1990s

The Moskva Wolf-3000 “Savregrevoy” is a rare late–Cold War experimental cruiser tank developed under a joint GDR–Soviet armored doctrine, intended to counter NATO rapid-response armor following the collapse-era tensions of Europe.

Built on an 10-wheeled armored chassis, the Moskva Wolf emphasizes mobility, survivability, and firepower over traditional tracked designs. Its sharply sloped frontal glacis and low-profile hull reduce radar and visual signature, while providing enhanced ballistic deflection against kinetic penetrators and HEAT rounds.

The vehicle is equipped with a remote-operated turret system, allowing the crew to remain fully protected within the armored hull. This design reflects late Cold War concerns over crew survivability in high-intensity mechanized warfare. The main gun is optimized for multi-role engagement, capable of neutralizing armored vehicles, fortified positions, and low-flying aerial threats.

Additional features include:

Heavy composite armor plating inspired by Soviet layered protection concepts

High-mobility wheeled suspension, suited for rapid deployment across Eastern European terrain

Advanced optics and targeting systems, uncommon for GDR vehicles of the era

Urban and open-field combat adaptability, marking it as a true cruiser tank

By the early 1990s, political upheaval and the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact led to the cancellation of the Moskva Wolf program, leaving only a handful of prototypes. Today, the Savregrevoy stands as a symbol of what GDR armored warfare might have become—a blend of Soviet engineering philosophy and Eastern German Innovations of Combat Vehicles or APCs

“Every creation I built carried imagination, patience, and battle-tested ideas.
I leave SimplePlanes not because the vision is gone—
but because it has already flown, rolled, and endured.
This is my Final Creation
