Welmade Tracker Mk.MR Proto

One of 11 prototype reconnaissance tanks from Welmade. Being new to the tank scene and with limited technology as a company in general, this tank was seen as lackluster in most areas. Despite the recently developed suspension systems for tanks, Welmade went for a different route. Instead of using a suspension/track system that most tanks were being developed with, Welmade decided to focus more on mobility and capability by using a chain-driven set of very robust wheels. This being said, the tank was extremely loud, complex and uncomfortable to drive over and through rough terrain.

Inside the tank was not much better. The crew was crammed in to the hull, as though their seating positions and roles were placed as a last-second fix to a mistake. The two cannon-gunners would also have to reload their own guns, sight them in and fire. As well, the only exit to the tank was the one on top of the turret, making quick escapes impossible. In battle, the tank was only lightly armored, but enough to help deter rifle rounds. When facing other tanks, it had to be quicker and circle around the enemy rather than face them in regular battle.

On the plus side, Welmade paid attention to the flaws of tanks in WW1. They noticed how as soon as the tracks of these vehicles were damaged, they were practically disabled. They noticed their issues when traveeling through mud, and the speeds they were restricted to. That's where the wheels installed come in handy. Designed to be quicker, more capable and much more reliable in wet conditions, this tank excelled where others bogged. As well, the tanks were equipped with a snorkel that could be raised in the air to assist with river crossing.

Overall, the design was quite complicated to build and so uncomfortable that it never saw much action on the front lines, except for various training and display exercises.

Fair enough on the gun placement, like I said before I don't exactly build tanks too often. In all honesty, Wasn't expecting too much with this one regardless, but thanks for judging anyways!

A very interesting design - while hull guns are not technically turrets and the side machine guns dont qualify wither I would happily judge the vehicle!
