- B-52H belongs to realSavageMan

The AGM-86 ALCM is an American subsonic air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) built by Boeing and operated by the United States Air Force. This missile was developed to increase the effectiveness and survivability of the Boeing B-52H Stratofortress strategic bomber. The missile dilutes an enemy's forces and complicates air defense of its territory.

The concept started as a long-range drone aircraft that would act as a decoy, distracting Soviet air defenses from the bombers. As new lightweight nuclear weapons emerged in the 1960s, the design was modified with the intent of attacking missile and radar sites at the end of its flight. Further development extended its range so much that it emerged as a weapon allowing the B-52s to launch their attacks while still well outside Soviet airspace, saturating their defenses with hundreds of tiny, low-flying targets that were extremely difficult to see on radar.

The ALCM so improved the capabilities of the US bomber force that the Soviets developed new technologies to counter the weapon. Among these were airborne early warning aircraft and new weapons like the MiG-31 and Tor missile system specifically to shoot down the AGM-86. The Air Force responded with the development of the AGM-129 ACM, which included stealth capabilities. The ending of the Cold War led to cutbacks in this program, and its expensive maintenance eventually resulted it in being abandoned in favor of life extensions to the original ALCM.

The AGM-86 is featured in Project Wingman as used by the Pacific Federation, loaded with both conventional and Cordium warheads. This build features the ecological-war-crime-in-a-can Cordium warheads.

Cordium:

Cordium is a valuable natural resource that emerged on Earth following the Calamity, used as an energy source. It is a crystalline mixture of dielectric materials, native metals and poorly understood anomalous compositions produced in the Earth's deep mantle.

Cordium can be extracted from geothermal and magma fields, but is difficult and dangerous to mine due to its volatile nature. A mishandled cordium shipment led to the destruction of the Cascadian city of Solstitium, leading to strict mining regulations.

During the Cascadian Conflict, the Pacific Federation was successful in weaponizing cordium, but its deployment resulted in devastating tectonic cascade effects.

    @Rb2h Yes, the game uses the same missile - or a similar one - as the AGM-86 for its cruise missiles. Unfortunately this one does not have a flight model, it only works like a standard missile.

    @WarKiller64 Hey there!
    All you gotta do is hook it up to a plane by the red detacher in the center of the missile (housed inside the light) and you’re good to go from there! Select the AGM-86 “Blaze” weapon and you should be able to use it then.

    @XiaoPiao141 There’s a detacher in the plane you can grab, attach it by that and you can fashion any stand you want for it. However, it is based off of the AGM-86 ALCM, so it would be best to use a rack for that.
