Backstory:
After the War between the Wright Pirates and the Krakabloa Navy. It was clear that a new plane was needed to replace the GD-12 "Death Claw" that had recently been made obsolete by the newer missile guidence systems and damage distribution abilitys possed by modern SAMs. Prototyping began as soon as the order was placed for a new ground pounder by SP7 Aviaiton division which had prevoisly devolped planes such as the MRXJ-185.

They ran into probloms with the main bodys geomatry and scraped the concept for a concealed weapons bay. They then decided to go with mounting weapons on the wings and thus increased the number of engine slots from 1 to 3. After that was completed, SP7 handed over the project to Hell Fueled Engines to create and fit engines for the Progect which at the time was named the XOC-1 or Experimental Ordanince Carrior.

Hell Fueled Engines saw the idea SP7 was attempting and knew it was pheasble but very hard to get right. So they swapped the rear end for a one engine fitting and slung 2 smaller engines on the sides of the main body under the wing hardpoints and later, a engine at each tip of the wing. After this they handed the project back to SP7 which loved the new engine design and layout. Soon all the plane needed was weapons and equipment.

So SP7 brought in Mcguyver Armory to outfit the mountings for weapons. Seeing the capability of the XOC-1 they added a couple of touches to the plane to make sure it was easy to load bombs and interchange weapons if needed by creating racks opon rack for missiles and folding wings. They also added the feature to jettison all the ordanence should a problem occur as it was very heavy.

After this the plane was completed and submited for the Navy. Unfortunetly the Navy refused as it could not achive takeoff speed on the carriers at the time. So it was applied to the Marines, and had the same problem of not long enough airstrpis. Finally it was submitted to the Army which gladly took it as they had long enough airstrips along with a major focus on bombarding enemys at dug in positions which made the HOD-2 a perfect choice.

The first proving of the HOD-2 would be the strike on Avalanche Airport when the Blizzerd war broke out. Taking off from Wright Airport with lots of fuel and limited ordanence the HOD-2 was a daily sight for the defenders of Avalanche Airport and feared it. The HOD-2 did Three Million dollors worth of damage and completly levaled the fuel tanks and hangers with only 3 planes lost to combat.
