The Gulfstream EC-450 ScanEye is the AEW&C variant of the Gulfstream C-450, the Nordinian military designation for the Gulfstream 450, made to replace the slower and now obsolete Nordinia Defence AW-23 Seeker. The EC-450 includes Saab’s renowned Erieye radar system, which includes longer radar range than the AW-23’s radar range.

After the bankruptcy of Nordinia Defense and their AW-23 Seeker reaching obsolete status after 1 year in service, the Vice Air Marshal of the Nordinia Air Defense Force requested for a new AEW&C aircraft that can replace the AW-23. 2 aircraft were selected for this role, the Northrop Grumman E-2D Hawkeye and the In development Gulfstream EC-450 ScanEye. After consideration, the EC-450 was awarded the contract for the Nordinia Air Defense Force. The EC-450 is on par with the Saab GlobalEye in terms of radar and control capabilities. Other countries have thought of the aircraft, including the Islamic Republic of Erkasia (Iran) but was quickly rejected due to tensions.
