In 1972, the overall design plan of the aircraft was reviewed and approved. In 1975, all the design drawings were completed. In September 1980, the first test flight of Yun-10 was successful. Since 1982, the development of Yun-10 has basically stopped. In 1986, the development plan of the Yun-10 aircraft was completely terminated. In November 2020, Yun-10 appeared in Pudong, Shanghai, which was the second prototype successfully tested for the first time on September 26, 1980.
