Astra F-19B Razor

555 NotBananas  2.5 years ago

After earlier releasing the YF-19 earlier, I'll now show the modern version. Introducing the Astra F-19B Razor.

The F-19A is a cold war era, mid 70s to late 90s, version of the Razor, utilizing steam gauges and an MSA radar suite, but in order to make the aircraft viable in the 21st Century, many changes had to be made to the aircraft.

The F-19B is equipped with a full glass cockpit inspired by the F-35 Lightning. It also boasts an AESA radar and HOBS missiles, making the aircraft lethal at range and in a knife fight. To help extend the reach of the Razor, it is also equipped with the Aim-150B Enforcer missile for long-range engagements. The Bravo variant also includes a higher output engine with a T/W of nearly 1.25!

The Razor is designed for realistic flight performance. The jet has decent angle of attack performance, very good degree per second performance in a rate fight, and a thrust to weight ratio of greater than one in air to air modes.

Engine Power:
18690 Lbs of Thrust at Sea Level in MIL Power
34840 Lbs of Thrust at Sea Level in Full A/B

Controls:
All activation groups are slaved to a button, lever, switch, or combination of the three. These controls should be very easy to learn and will appear in the in-game Instructions tab.
Air Brake: VTOL Down
Trim: Trim

Equipment:
M61 Vulcan Cannon
6x Aim-150B Enforcer Missiles
2x SRIRM (Short Range Infra-Red Missiles)
64x Chaff
64x Flares

I hope you enjoy the Astra Aerospace F-19B Razor!
