History
Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo joined forces in 2004.
Air France KLM Martinair Cargo is part of Skyteam, an air cargo alliance, along with 11 other airlines.
On February 23, 2009, Air France KLM Cargo took delivery of its first Boeing 777F and was the launch customer for this aircraft.
On December 16, 2021, Air France KLM Cargo signed a letter of intent for the acquisition of four Airbus A350F aircraft.
On the April 3, 2023, Air France-KLM and CMA CGM Air Cargo officially launched their long-term strategic air cargo partnership: a commercial joint-venture that combines both groups’ complementary air cargo offerings.
About Boeing 777
The Boeing 777, commonly referred to as the Triple Seven, is an American long range wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The 777 is the world's largest twinjet and the most built wide-body airliner. The jetliner was designed to bridge the gap between Boeing's other wide body airplanes, the twin-engined 767 and quad-engined 747, and to replace aging DC-10 and L-1011 trijets. Developed in consultation with eight major airlines, the 777 program was launched in October 1990, with an order from United Airlines. The prototype aircraft rolled out in April 1994, and first flew that June. The 777 entered service with the launch operator United Airlines in June 1995. Longer range variants were launched in 2000, and first delivered in 2004. Over 2,300 Boeing 777 aircraft have been ordered, with over 70 operators worldwide

The Triple Seven can accommodate a ten–abreast seating layout and has a typical 3-class capacity of 301 to 368 passengers, with a range of 5,240 to 8,555 nautical miles [nmi] (9,700 to 15,840 km; 6,030 to 9,840 mi). The jetliner is recognizable for its large-diameter turbofan engines, raked wingtips, six wheels on each main landing gear, fully circular fuselage cross-section, and a blade-shaped tail cone. The 777 became the first Boeing airliner to use fly-by wire controls and to apply a carbon composite structure in the tailplanes.
The original 777 with a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 545,000–660,000 lb (247–299 t) was produced in two fuselage lengths: the initial 777-200 was followed by the extended-range -200ER in 1997; and the 33.25 ft (10.13 m) longer 777-300 in 1998. These have since been known as 777 Classics and were powered by 77,200–98,000 lbf (343–436 kN) General Electric GE90, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, or Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engines. The extended-range 777-300ER, with a MTOW of 700,000–775,000 lb (318–352 t), entered service in 2004, the longer-range 777-200LR in 2006, and the 777F freighter in 2009. These second-generation 777 variants have extended raked wingtips and are powered exclusively by 110,000–115,300 lbf (489–513 kN) GE90 engines. In November 2013, Boeing announced the development of the third generation 777X (variants include the 777-8, 777-9, and 777-8F), featuring composite wings with folding wingtips and General Electric GE9X engines, and slated for first deliveries in 2027.

History
Air France was founded on October 7, 1933, through the merger of Air Orient , Compagnie Générale Aéropostale , Société Générale de Transport Aérien (SGTA, France's first airline, founded as Lignes Aériennes Farman in 1919), Air Union, and CIDNA (Compagnie Internationale de Navigation). The airline had an extensive network throughout Europe and the French colonies in North Africa and Indochina . During World War II , Air France moved its operations to Casablanca , Morocco ; the airline appeared in the famous film Casablanca .
After World War II , the airline was nationalized and Societe Nationale Air France was founded on January 1, 1946. Compagnie Nationale Air France was created by an act of parliament on June 16, 1948. The government held 70% of the new company and as of mid-2002 still held 54% of the airline's shares. On August 4, 1948 , Max Hymans was appointed president of Air France. During his 13 years in office, he implemented a modernization policy based on jet aircraft, especially the Sud Aviation Caravelle and the Boeing 707. In 1949, the company was one of the founders of SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques). The airline used De Havilland Comets for a short time from 1953, but soon replaced them with Vickers Viscounts . In 1959 the airline began extensive use of the elegant twin-engined Sud Aviation Caravelle. It continued to use Boeing aircraft thereafter , but like many other European airlines it became committed to Airbus aircraft from 1974.
In 1976 , the airline began operating the supersonic Concorde SST on the Paris-Charles de Gaulle route to New York as well as some other routes. The flight time from New York to Paris on this type of aircraft is 3 hours and 20 minutes, twice the speed of sound.

In 1986, the government relaxed its policy of dividing traffic rights for scheduled services between Air France, Air Inter and UTA, with no overlap in routes between them. This decision opened up some of Air France's most profitable routes, which it had enjoyed a government-sanctioned monopoly on since 1963 and which had been within its monopoly sphere of influence, to rival airlines, particularly UTA. The changes allowed UTA to launch scheduled services to new destinations within Air France's territory, competing with that airline.
The Paris - San Francisco route became the first route that UTA served in competition with Air France's direct service from Paris. Air France responded by expanding some of its direct Paris - Los Angeles services to Papeete , Tahiti , in competition with UTA. UTA's ability to secure traffic rights outside its traditional territory in competition with Air France was the result of a government campaign to help it grow faster, more dynamically, and more profitably.
