Howdy Pilot, and welcome to your new M121 Cobalt. This is a VTOL-only aircraft, however it has been characteristically optimized to ease operation strain over conventional VTOL Aircraft.

The first thing to note on the Cobalt it the new TOLD system, the display for which can be seen above the left Aircraft Management and Information Display (AMID). TOLD thrust controls will be active when the aircraft is powered and can be toggled with either of two buttons on the left half of the dash, beneath the TOLD status display and beneath the left AMID. TOLD Thrust-Vector Gyroscopic Stabilization (TVGS) will automatically engage and disengage at appropriate aircraft velocities.

In addition to the TOLD system, the Cobalt is additionally equipped with a Pilot-Target Awareness Display (PTAD) in the center of the AMIDs. The PTAD gives pilots three forms of relevant information regarding a selected target. The first to note is the red Target Direction Needle (TDN), which informs the pilot of the relative bearing from the Cobalt to the selected target. Second are the two Target Rise Indicator Lights (TRILs) located at the top corners of the PTAD. These indicate the relative altitude of the selected target to the M121, whether above or below. Finally, the metric distance to the selected target is displayed to the right of the artificial airframe in the center of the PTAD.

The two AMIDs on the left and right of the dash provide pilots with relevant aircraft flight, navigation, and storage information. Above the right AMID can be found the Engagement Longevity Display (ELD), alerting the pilot to the remaining munitions on the craft.

In addition to the main flight controls, the stick and throttle additionally are equipped with target management and countermeasure controls for ease of combat flight. Redundant controls are labeled accordingly on the right and left panels for the wirelessly connected.

Lighting outboard the craft, in the form of formation (FORM), navigation (NAV), strobe (STR), and landing (LDG) lights can be manipulated with control groups 1-4 or with accordingly labeled toggles within the cockpit.

Traditional VTOL controls are diverted to the aircraft trim, a lever for which can be found at the left base of the dash.

Group 7, controlled with a switch toggle at the front of the right panel, will open and close the canopy.

Any questions, concerns, or recommendations are best directed here towards the manufacturer. Thank you for choosing Liberty, and enjoy your flight!
