This weird experimental plane from the korean war looks like a p38 and p51 had a child, but this actually existed. The F82 Twin Mustang is exactly what you would expect, two P51 Mustangs spliced together to make two planes into one. 272 of these planes were built until the project was dropped for more reliable jet aircraft.
