HISTORY

The Schwerpanzer Mk.III, while being the primary name written in military journals and by historians, actually being named Sonderumpf Panzerkamphwagen XV 25cm Marinenumfunktioniertkampfwagenkanone (Marine converted battle tank cannon), is a Super-Heavy Tank produced by Avalonia during the events of The Great Reclamation War. Intended to be apart of a catalogue of Avalonian Wunder-Waffe (Wonder-Weapon), the Mammut, or as Troops called it, the Schildkröte (Tortoise), was designed to be a breakthrough Vehicle (Penetrate enemy fortifications, withstand enemy fire and direct heavier fire in turn), and so was fitted with the requirements needed for it; Thick Armour (1000mm+ Armour Thickness across almost all surfaces), Big Gun (Repurposed 250mm Naval Gun), and The Power to keep it trundling forward (Effectively 3 Heavy tank engines Wired and welded together). Production started in late 1929, and by the end of the war, 12 models of the tank were produced. 3 were sent to fight in the Aurum front, and 7 more would see to face the army of General Hakim Zuma at the battle of Zarep. Only 2 models of the tank remain, one preserved in a tank museum, and another placed as a landmark in Arturburg, Southern Umbra.
