The Silver Streak (Prototype)

23.1k SpartanSR91  5 days ago

A Gen-1 prototype of my custom T-180 racer, The Silver Streak. 1st Gen T-180s had extremely powerful thrusters at the rear, and heavily reinforced suspension on the rear wheels. Unlike their Modern T-180 counterparts, the rear wheels did not steer. One notable 1st-Gen T-180 (and the vehicle this is based on) was the Mach 4, the car driven by Speed's older brother Rex Racer. Rex cracked the code for winning race after race by drifting around corners with the Mach 4's thruster at full power, losing barely any speed and leaving more timid drivers in the dust. This eventually led to development of the finalized T-180 chassis design, which had all 4 wheels steer into the drift to help keep control at rediculous speeds.

Controls:

  • Pitch: Drive Forward/Reverse

  • Roll: Turn Left/Right

  • Yaw: Strafe Left/Right

  • Throttle: Engage Booster Engine (only Active while driving forward)

  • FireGuns/LaunchCountermeasures: Fire Jump Jacks

  • AG1: Toggle Auto-Jacks (Jump Jacks remain extended as long as this control is active)

  • AG8: Toggle Gyro Stabilizer (AG8 off will allow the car to spin out and flip uncontrollably, but run well on uneven tracks)

Additional Notes:

  • This is meant to handle like a 1st Gen T-180, rear wheels do not steer.

  • When steering, the car will automatically compensate for sideways movement, use this to drift through turns. (The further you steer into the turn, the harder the car will compensate, and the more the car will slow down.)

  • The machometer on the dash is not just for show. This car can and will break the sound barrier if given enough straight, level terrain. (Max speed of 1,074 mph, 1,728 km/h, or Mach 1.41 attained in modded map)

  • This car doubles as a speedboat, although it cannot jump in deep water.

  • Using slow motion will make the car jump higher.

  • The drive system works even with no contact with the ground. (Might seem cheaty, but it's fun.)

  • Both FireGuns and LaunchCountermeasures will fire the Jump Jacks. (mobile users no longer need to add a gun to this, but will need to enable either targeting mode)

  • The Jump Jacks have audio.

  • For optimal driving experience, try the 'Adaptive Chase Camera' view.
