Oy-1 Vusgfvlichendt

The Oy-1 Vusgfvlichendt is a single seat biplane fighter aircraft developed by IMCI(Invaria Military and Civilian Industry) in 1937-1939. The Oy-1 Vusgfvlichendt was the first fighter aircraft developed in Invaria. Built for military and national defense needs in that year. Designed by Gliadvrentzcishltd Oyvlendtskyiahlrsk in the 1937 and accepted by the President at that time, President Gregorivs I, The first prototype was built and tested many times in 1938, and mass produced in early 1939. The Oy-1 is featured by 1.000 hp radial engine, and also Oy-1 can reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h(217.5 mph).

Development

Design work on the Oy-1 began in 1937. The project was led by chief designer Gliadvrentzcishltd Oyvlendtskyiahlrsk, known for pushing unconventional ideas and maximizing performance through lightweight design and high power-to-weight ratios.

The first prototype flew in 1938. Test pilots reported exceptional speed and climb performance, far surpassing expectations for a biplane. However, the aircraft initially suffered from structural stress at high speeds due to the powerful engine. Reinforcements were added to the wing spars, interplane struts, and landing gear.

After minor redesigns, the Oy-1 successfully passed trials and was approved for production in 1939. It became the first fully domestically-produced fighter in Invarian history.
