Airbus A320-200 LTU

After a long while, I am back with redux of my A320-200 I realised a long while back. It has a few reused components, but has a new fuselage design, detail work, and is in the colours of LTU (Lufttransport-Unternehmen), which was a German leisure airline which operated between 1955-2009. The Airbus A320 is a twin-engine, single aisle airliner which is the second-most produced passenger plane in history, second only to the 737. It was revolutionary upon introduction, as it was the first airliner with digital fly-by-wire flight controls, providing computerized protections against the aircraft being flown outside it’s flight envelope. LTU had 12 A320s, as well as 4 A321s. The A320 has been adapted into a family of jets, all differing in size. The A318 was the shortest of family, intended to serve as a rival to regional jets, similar to the 737-600, but ultimately was unsuccessful. The A319 was a bit longer, but still shorter than the A320, while the A321 is the longest of the family. All members of the family have identical avionics and aerodynamic characteristics, allowing them to be given a joint-type rating (This allows pilots to fly a member of the family without dedicated training for each one). In 2007 LTU was purchased by Air Berlin, and by 2011, LTU was completely integrated into Air Berlin.

This was admittedly a pretty minor rework of my original creation. I haven’t posted in a long while since my ATI DC-8 and the A-107. I am planning for my next project to do an aircraft with a very divisive reputation.
