The J-82 “Beetle” entered service in 1961 after 3 years of development, first flying in 1959 during the closing months of the Echanan war it would be one of the only two serviceable planes the Esnians had access to at the start of the Esnian civil war proving itself capable as long as the MVA swing wings weren't in the area. During 1964 and 1965 it was very successful against the older aircraft the MDU were using but in 1966 the whirlpools and lynxes were finally allowed to fly into Esnia, from that point on the J-82 was kept close to SAM sights as it was no match for the MVA swing wings, it would serve through the entire Esnian war before being retired in 1970.
