Detroit are the most reliable diesels made.(all mechanical). Also most versatile. Plus they sound like nothing else on earth. Use watch a video! Warning wear ear plugs, they are also known for being very loud!
Google Detroit 92 for more mformation. This motor is for boats generators and semi trucks. I have seen all applications in simple planes. I mean the trucks and boats and stuff, just never with a Detroit engine I want to make a free to use engine for people to use in their builds kinda like my 7.0 truck engine.
I want to build engines for cars and boats. Good idea? I have plans to build a Detroit diesel 8v92. Here's a picture:
