Background history
The GR90.W was a supersonic Ground support/attack aircraft built in 1978 by a cooperation between Aermacchi and Santoni because the Ministry of defense was asked by the Air Force for a new ground attack/support aircraft, as the American built A1 sky raiders were getting older and obsolete.
The cooperation came up with 2 variants, a ground attack version and a naval attack version. The GR90.A/S was dismissed in 1998,replaced by better planes. One still is in the Santoni museum for everyone to see, although its a Navy model.
