The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. It is the only United States Air Force production aircraft designed solely for close air support, including attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with limited air defenses.

The A-10 was designed around the 30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon that is its primary armament and the heaviest automatic cannon mounted on an aircraft. Its official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a fighter that was particularly effective at close air support. However, the A-10 is more commonly known by its nicknames "Warthog" or "Hog".

This is my absolute favorite real life plane and was actually one of the first ones I built in this game. I had to keep tweeking it but its finally looking and flying awesomely.

This hog is outfitted with four laser-guided air-to-surface missiles (detachment #2) and two air-to-air sidewinder missiles (detachment #3). The A-10's versatility allows it to carry a wide variety of munitions, so load whichever ordnance you need for your mission!

She is rather large so it might lag on mobile devices. Try lowering your settings for improved gameplay. Set the terrain, water and shadow to low, but keep the graphics quality to at least medium. There is a bug in the game that makes planes flimsy when the graphics quality is set to low.
