Introduction to the Locomotive本务机简介

The Shaoshan 8 electric locomotive (SS8) is a four-axle quasi-high-speed mainline passenger electric locomotive of China Railway, originally designed for the Guangzhou–Shenzhen Railway. It was jointly developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. and CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., as part of the 8th Five-Year National Science and Technology Key Project. The locomotive has a continuous power output of 3,600 kW, a maximum operating speed of 170 km/h, an axle load of 22 tons, and uses a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement with hollow axle transmission bogies. A total of 245 units have been produced.

韶山8型电力机车(SS8)是中国铁路的一款四轴准高速干线客运电力机车,最初为广深铁路设计。该机车由中车株洲电力机车有限公司和中车株洲电力机车研究所有限公司联合开发,属于第八个五年国家科技重点项目的一部分。机车连续功率输出为3600千瓦,最高运行速度为170公里/小时,轴重为22吨,采用空心轴传动转向架的Bo-Bo轮式布置。共生产了245台。

The 25T passenger car is one of the models in the Chinese Railway 25-series passenger cars. The 'T' is the first letter of the Pinyin for "Tísù," meaning "speed-up type,提速" and it is a successor model to the 25K passenger car. The 25T passenger car was designed for the fifth large-scale speed increase of Chinese Railways, with a maximum operating speed of 160 km/h and a maximum train formation of 19 cars. The train uses locomotive-supplied electrical power, allowing the locomotive to power the passenger cars, eliminating the need for a generator car. Ordinary 25T cars manufactured before 2015 generally feature a midnight blue and white livery.

25T客车是中国铁路25系列客车中的一种车型。“T”是拼音“TiSu”的首字母,表示“提速型”,它是25K客车的后继车型。25T客车是为中国铁路第五次大规模提速而设计的,最大运行速度为160公里/小时,列车编组最多可达19节车厢。该列车采用机车供电方式,由机车为客车供电,无需配备发电车。2015年前生产的普通25T客车通常采用午夜蓝与白色相间的车身涂装。

The Z284/281 train is a direct express train operated by China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd., running from Baotou in Inner Mongolia to Hangzhou in Zhejiang. It started operation on December 21, 2008, managed by the Baotou Passenger Transport Section, and serves as a through train connecting cities along the Beijing-Baotou Railway and Beijing-Shanghai Railway. The train uses 25T passenger coaches and runs via the Beijing-Baotou High-Speed Railway, Beijing-Baotou Railway, Fengsha Railway, Beijing-Shanghai Railway, and Shanghai-Kunming Railway, passing through ten provinces and municipalities: Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shanghai, and Zhejiang. The full journey covers 2,424 kilometers, taking 26 hours and 48 minutes.

Note!: although the filming was done using SP2, due to physical issues, the experience of this vehicle on SP2 is not very good. It is recommended to use it on the SPR map or the NORTH RAILWAY map. Moreover, because the turning radius of the tracks on both maps is too small, speeds above 90 km/h are not supported, even though the speed range of China's direct express trains reaches 160 km/h.
