Main description

The PZ.VI V-2 Raketentransporter is a modified
and converted Tiger 1 chassis designed to transport major German weapons such as the V-1 and V-2. It composes of adding a cab alongside a mounted MG34 for defense and storage hatches for equipment. A few units are known to be used for this role, but the exact number of Tiger 1s specifically converted is currently unknown, as the documents for this specific vehicle were destroyed alongside the remaining units during the war. Although the lack of information for this tank is lackluster, it is known that they were made from damaged Tiger 1's that have their turret damaged.

V-2

The V2 (German: Vergeltungswaffe 2, lit. 'Vengeance Weapon 2'), with the technical name Aggregat-4 (A4), was the world's first long-range guided ballistic missile. The missile, powered by a liquid-propellant rocket engine, was developed during the Second World War in Nazi Germany as a "vengeance weapon" and assigned to attack Allied cities as retaliation for the Allied bombings of German cities. The V2 rocket also became the first artificial object to travel into space by crossing the Kármán line (edge of space) with the vertical launch of MW 18014 on 20 June 1944.
