F-15DJ Eagle Kai Plus

The year is 1986, and the Sakura Empire is successful in its invasion of the Eastern Radiance, and the Dragon Empery as a whole, but its neighbors, the Northern Parliament of Soviet Sovereign States, Royal Raj, and Terra Australis, are making any further expansion difficult, meanwhile the Eagle union is turning the Pacific into a uninhabitable mess for their kansen, no Japanese vessel can so much as think about the Marshall Islands without getting a text from the OSS saying "check your mailbox."

On top of that, Emperor Akagi, who was to be Nagato's replacement after the Crossroad Atoll war trials of 1946 and has been leading since then, was putting pressure on both the Air Corps and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to make a new fighter aircraft to replace their aging fleet of F-1's. Multiple designs were drafted, but nothing was really working, it was then that rumors would fill the ears of many Sakura ranks, that being of a fighter the Eagle Union developed in the 70s to combat the MiG-25, rumors that it did not only match the MiG-25, but surpassed its capabilities in almost every way, and once this caught the ear of the Emperor, she began to listen.

So it was then that the Sakura Empire would conduct secret "business transactions" with the Siren. In exchange for information on the what was at the time, the F-15C/D Eagle. In December of 1986, the OSS declared that multiple documents from the Groom Lake testing grounds, the most secure military installation in the world at that time mind you, had somehow gone missing, and all of these documents were turned into Sakura intelligence. Saying the Siren had given the Sakura Empire exactly what they wanted, would be a massive understatement, Not just documents on the F-15C's development cycle, schematics for the airframe and all of its systems AND manufacturing procedures, but also data recovered from the STOL/MTD program, and a proposed design for 2 aspect thrust-vectoring nozzles.

Emperor Akagi and the Shogunate immediately ordered the construction of a test airframe, and 200+ airframes ready for combat, assuming the test airframes worked well. (which they did, in fact, they worked extremely well)
