BRIEF DESCRIPTION & HISTORY:

The SAAB 21 is a Swedish single-seat low-wing monoplane fighter and attack aircraft designed and manufactured by SAAB. It was designed and first flown during World War II, with its maiden flight on July 30, 1943, and entered service in December 1945.

The first examples of the J 21A-1 were introduced to service. It was quickly followed by the improved J 21A-2, which featured heavier armament, and the A 21A-3 fighter-bomber.

The J21A1 is the first production series of fighter version. 54 built between 1945 and 1946, retired in 1949.

ISSUES & CREATOR'S NOTES:

▶Flight performance is heavily affected by gears. Retracting the gears moves the center of mass backward as the parts of the landing gears have mass.

▶The engine is higher than the front wings, expect nose diving when in full throttle.

▶The flight performance of this model is semi-accurate to the WarThunder specifications.

▶I got lazy with the cockpit detail because frankly, what's the point of detailing it if it's not going to be appreciated? More of an objective barrier. I don't want to blame SP lighting but it's the major reason :D.

▶The built in ladder sometimes likes to poke inside the cockpit to greet or outside the hull to scream. Most noticeable in Low Physics.
