TAKEOFF INSTRUCTIONS: Get up to 240 KPH with full flaps, and pull up slowly.
MAX SPEED (WITH ARMAMENT): 420 KPH AT 1500 METERS
MAX SPEED (WITHOUT ARMAMENT): 450 KPH AT 1500 METERS
NOTES: Yaws and rolls right

NecoArcBubbles for the Soviet Rondel.

Design inspiration: Shes an ugly one, that's for sure. But I love her, and she is mostly inspired by the IL2, the XP-55 for the nose, the J7W Shinden for the back half, and the guns, from the La-5, and the gun exhaust area from DrMinh's Yak 3P
Armament:
6x 250 LBS bombs
10X RS-82 rockets
2X nose mounted B-20 autocannons, firing at 800 RPM

Lore: "The Ilyushin IL-3 Sliznyak (meaning slug) was an 1945 experimental project at a replace for the Ilyushin Il-2. Shifting away from the IL-2 twin seat design, it used only one crew member, the pilot, and used a M-82 Radial engine instead of the more traditional to the IL-2 family of inline engines, which would countine for the IL-10 and IL-20 following the one early post war years, similar to the Yak 3U, which was being developed at the same time with the same engine.

It first flew in March 13th, 1945, at the Moscow proving grounds. Whilst the design was unusual, the specifications of the aircraft were promising, and it showed high speed for a ground attacker, but not much different than the newer IL-2, and suffered high takeoff speeds, sluggish controls and expensive construction, along with constant air cooling issues.

Whilst ultimately promising, it followed many later war designs, that being of the fact it was to be surpassed by jet engines. 8 were produced, all of which were used as test beds for experiments by TsAGI until 1951." - Wikipedia
