[ The new multirole combat drone of the Skypark Sea Service ]

[ Description ]

The Q-3 is the latest combat drone of the Skypark military. Made to destroy both air and ground threats, these drones are often found along side either of the Sea Service's fighters or the A-12 Avenger II attack aircraft. Unlike traditional drones, these aircraft aren't piloted by people in trailers on land, but by modified A.I. technology normally found in Skypark's worker drones. While this results in a UAV with unprecedented fighting capabilities, like the worker drones, they do require a specific decommissioning process, which if ignored, has on occasion led to Q-3 mysteriously coming back online, often with erratic behavior. This probably is just a simple side effect of reactivation, and not a sign of things to come......

[ Weapons ]

  • Seven AIM-120s
  • Five Brimstone missiles
  • twin movable rotary cannon, with maximum 30° tilt

[ Controls ]

  • Standard Control layout
  • Alternate landing configuration

AG1: enable VTOL controlled gun movement and arm Brimstone missiles
AG2: enable rapid speed mode, VTOL down full to enter rapid speed mode.
AG3: enable alternate/slow speed landing configuration*, VTOL up full to transform.
Deactivate AG8: turn on gyros, best if used when performing carrier landing in both normal mode and alternate mode.

Normally mode carrier landing is pretty straightforward, just turn on gyros, reduce speed to around 150mph, and keep throttle around 5%. After that, it's just managing your rate of descent and altitude so you don't overshoot or fall short.

[ Notes ]

This plane is based on a design by Pan Spatial. I am simply using it for entertainment purposes only, and in no way claim it as mine. I'm merely using it for a fun roleplay.

I call the low speed mode what I do strictly off of it's appearance, since it kinda looks like that's what it's for.

*The low speed mode is very difficult to use when doing a carrier landing, mostly because of how hard it is to control rate of descent, not to mention to weird angle you'd be hitting the deck. It's not as hard with long runways, though. I kept in in because It still can be used, but as regards carrier landings, it's worse then normal mode. With that in mind, I flat out recommend that you don't attempt a carrier landing in low speed mode, you'll think me later(I'm dead serious).
