Its development began in 2010 when the Neorasia Army needed a troop transport vehicle armed with a 125mm gun,So RCompany proposed their prototype, namely KTI-PT. After going through several trials, the vehicle was ready to enter the production phase in 2014 and was named KTI-01 Piranha.
