Short Story
Acmat VBA 25 (Véhicule blindé antiaérien) is a French self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle developed in the early 1970s by Acmat. Based on the VB-1 light armored truck (TPK 611), the VBA 25 was equipped with a 25 mm GL-1 autocannon, licensed by Hispano-Suiza, capable of high-rate fire and great reliability. It became known for its effectiveness against low-flying aircraft and helicopters thanks to its mobility and lightweight design.
These improvements made the VBA series a cost-effective and reliable mobile air-defense solution for rapid deployment forces.
