Sausage Crust rose from the deep fryer, sizzling with love... or something like that idk I haven't read the bible and probably only would if I REALLY wanted to win an argument with a Christian. He flies now. Terrifying.

Our Lard and Savor.
He fried for our din-dins.

    @Guywhobuildsstuff Hell, GuyWhoBuildsStuff.
    Just checking in, review is still ongoing.
    We of the Eel Protectorate feel that it is important to undergo a full review of all incidents of violent contact over the past five months, just to ensure that we are working with an equal understanding of the extent of hostilities.
    We shall start:
    Conflict began, as we understand it, on July 15th.
    July 15: MWBS conduct illegal harvesting operation on Protectorate-Declared No-Access-Zone surrounding the Wright Isles 25km in each direction. MWBS vessel riven off by Eel protectorate forces in dingy after firing 300/280 rounds of ammunition respectively. No casualties or significant damage to either vessel. Escalation follows.
    Shall we move to a more appropriate area?
    I shall create a forum in which to conduct further negotiations.

    @Randomplayer But the issue is, is the enemy off any better? They have missiles, but beyond that I'm not certain of their strength.
    I personally am not aware of any in the MWBS beyond Guywhobuildsstuff themself. I fear we may be giving into a bluff. Perhaps greater intelligence is desirable?
    Can you fit in small nooks and crannies? I need you to hide in the gap between their couch cushions, if you're up to it. I cannot, due to the dangers involved. I'm too likely to end up getting vacuumed up, unfortunately.

    @Graingy yes I think we should go forth. We don’t have a great army, navy and military. Heck, we keep it in a warehouse. I say stopping our war machines and allying with the MWBS, will be our best bet..

    @Randomplayer no you’re right
    So, you think we should take the treaty?
    I mean, the conditions aren’t great, and they do effectively leave the ocean in enemy hands, but maintaining this war is… challenging. Simply getting the Morrayge to sea is proving challenging, and it’s only one ship.
    Granted, it’s our largest asset, but still. The Eel Protectorate doesn’t have the resources to keep this up.
    But… does the enemy?

    @Randomplayer it hath been removed.
    Anyhow, we need to discuss the nature of the proposed treaty by * the Men who build stuff* [sic] for the cessation of hostilities between them and the Eel Protectorate (us).
    Treaty is presented below in two parts, along with a pre-negotiation addition by myself.

    @Guywhobuildsstuff ahem
    We of the Eel Protectorate will review your proposed treaty, and in the meantime are willing to negotiate a ceasefire.
    A few points of immediate contention:
    Firstly, the Eel Protectorate is not directly bound to the Graingy aircraft company. While Graingy is one of the primary supporters of the Eel Protectorate, it is still a separate body.
    Secondly, I, Grain Guy, am not the acting CEO of Graingy. This position is currently served by Ultimus Geminus, who is in all frankness way out of both of our leagues. Is it mutually advisable to not purposefully involve the Soian military in any respect.
    Thirdly, the Eel Protectorate does not claim absolute dominion over the oceans, instead it aims to prevent undue harm from coming to sea life via military action against those who target it in a harmful manner (fishing is excluded for reasons of necessity).
    We respect your will to bring this conflict to an end, and hope to get back to you soon.

    @Graingy ehh, maybe. I’ve found new sources of renewable energy. I still need a few more car batteries to keep R/D running. As the Eels Prime Minister, could you please discuss this with your departments and sign a treaty that states the following:

    Treaty of Waywar

    Preamble:

    This treaty, henceforth referred to as the "Treaty of Waywar," is established between the parties involved to bring an end to the conflict surrounding the harvesting of car batteries from the ocean. This treaty is a declaration of mutual understanding and cooperation between Guywhobuildsstuff, representing the Men who build stuff, and Graingy, the presumed Prime Minister of the Ocean and of Cheif Executive Officer of the ‘Graingy Aircraft Company.’

    Article I: Cessation of Hostilities

    1. Both parties, Guywhobuildsstuff and Graingy, hereby declare an immediate cessation of hostilities and commit to resolving the dispute through diplomatic means.

    Article II: Withdrawal of Forces

    1. Graingy shall, by the first of December, 2023, withdraw any forces previously deployed in the ocean for the purpose of protecting the car batteries. Guywhobuildsstuff shall also withdraw all forces, except for five armed military personnel, who will collect the batteries once per week, on Sunday.

    Article III: Car Battery Harvesting

    1. Guywhobuildsstuff shall be granted permission to harvest car batteries from the ocean for the purpose of powering their Research and Development (R/D) division.

    Article IV: Development of Renewable Energy

    1. Guywhobuildsstuff shall have the right to continue the development of their top-secret renewable energy technology, utilizing nuclear weapons for controlled reactions in an enclosed space.

    Article V: Compensation and Termination of Battery Harvesting

    1. Once the development of the renewable energy technology is completed, Guywhobuildsstuff shall cease the harvesting of car batteries. In recognition of the impact on the affected sea life, Guywhobuildsstuff shall compensate Graingy with 5,000% of the total value of the car batteries, expected to be evenly distributed throughout the affected sea life.

    Article VI: Enforcement and Accountability

    1. Both parties commit to overseeing the implementation of this treaty and shall cooperate in resolving any disputes or issues that may arise in the future.
