Pfalz E.I

2,083 Turdy1  7.5 years ago

While many have heard of the Fokker Eindecker and its dominance over allied aircraft, few know that it was accompanied by another company's design. The Pfalz E.I was based on license-built Morane-Saulnier H monoplanes, and featured a synchronized gun much like its Fokker counterpart. The Pfalz Eindecker, however, was not as sturdy and performance was inferior to the Fokker. Few Allied pilots differentiated between the two, and most Pfalz Eindeckers would serve on the Eastern Front.
