Some bugfixing, improving and a fancy new paintjob. It goes 730-735 MPH constantly now and manages to constantly go 1:23 on the Shark Tooth course. :D

Non-modded, optimized for AI-control, flown by AI like on rails. Now without explosion when starting on the right side instead of the left side. :D

Switch to inside-cockpit camera by switching with C or pressing F5!

    @calcifer302 Can't get it reliable, but my P-732 Meteor 2 actually managed to overtake the Egg Beater v6.0. Bad thing is, I don't even have a time of it, as it always failed by touching the water or crashing. Also when starting on the right side some engines drop off or it explodes. That might be different in the game version of the devs though.

    Seems the specs are 20, 20, and 10 meters. You could double the planes dimensions and still be ok provided it stayed in ballance

    Please link me to the tournament so i can see the rules. Are jet engines able to be clipped? Intakes? I know intakes agg major drag but i have no way of expiramenting with it. I did say sr plane was awesome. Edit. Ok how about you ditch the fake cockpit and add a bank of engines up front? Will that throw the balance off too much i wonder? Os this allowed in your tournament

    @calcifer302 That would make it even longer. Too long for the tournament. :/ Or I'll just accept that SR has the best build I've seen so far and I am currently not able to beat it in the low amount of time remaining. I'd then leave the P-731 in, as it is my most stable one.

    I knew drag would be an issue but it seems like you have to find a new loophole to abuse or make a comprise somewhere. One more idea i had is make it bigger stretch it out more with two groups of engines. Maybe not connect them in the middel or try putting a fuselage there. Not sure if im descbing this right so let me attempt to ilistrate it. +-]]]-]]]->

    @calcifer302 Also had that idea, but takes too much of the maneuverability and also creates more drag. I'll maybe get back to that idea, if my current one fails.

    Im guessing here, but any engines clipped grenades the plane? If its just a number like more than 4 and she splodes why not try to make two fuselage with 4 on each? Perhaps this wont work i certainly have no way to tell, but might think about it

    @calcifer302 Mine can also do that, but the AI on the right start point can't. It explodes with most clipped engines. So I have to find a way to get eight or more of them into my plane without clipping them.

    I havnt even tried to race it. I just puttered about. I found my self doing endless flips and loops and rolls. And was amazed just by that alone.

    @calcifer302 My newer version of the P-730 is very similar to it. It uses the same engines, but my design doesn't offer as much space, so I am very limited in options to make it more reliable and faster. My best time was 1:09 so far, but on the right starting position my engines start dropping off or I have to place less engines or reduce agility, which might result in crashes and missed rings. :/

    @BRuthless my mind is blown! I love this plane. But and i mean this in the most flattering way, sr plane blows this away. Which as you know, i reapect your designs. They make my crap look as if designed by a simple child with down syndrome. But where i thought this plane here was the limits this game had to offer, i go and see srs plane you mentioned. All i can say is jesus unibombing christ my mind is blown. Lol

    @bskngshrk Well, no. It's more unrealistic without mods than with actually. :D As we are not using pure physics, we are using bugs of the game to be ahead of the others. Sadly I have just seen the design of SR. It's very similar to mine, but he has more engines and doesn't crash. @calcifer302 Clipping engines is really only possible by nudging in the PC version. The agility comes through it's very low weight, large wing area, optimized control surface placement and size and also having a wing-layout that allows for the CoM almost to be directly on CoL without getting too unstable.

    Im still new and would love to pick your brain on your designs. First off please sir tell me how you got this plane so agile and stable? I didnt try to reverse engineer it yet by pulling it apart. That would be a travesty to such a wonderful machine? Also clipping the engines like that. Is there a special trick to it or can i only hope to achieve that once i use the windows version?

    It really is an achievement. We're pushing the capabilities of the game's technology to the limit. And the absence of mods from our designs really add to their authenticity and credibility @BRuthless

    @bskngshrk I guess we're in the same boat then. I've also created something that can overtake it like it was a brick in the air. :D But it needs some fixing and slight adjustments for more optimized AI control. It's also dropping engines sometimes when it starts on the right side. :D But that's all fixable.
